Another up and rising Filipino singer qualifies to the same merit. Zia Quizon, daughter of Dolphy Quizon and ZsaZsa Padilla, has the makings of the next OPM icon.

Sarah Geronimo and Luis Manzano used to be onscreen partners before they worked together in the musical variety show, Sarah G. Live. The tandem was paired up in the 2012 Viva movie, Hating Kapatid, together with Judy Ann Santos.

Both known for their bubbly and kindhearted personalities, Sarah and Luis create good chemistry on and off camera. They can make their audiences burst into laughter through their witty jokes and humorous conversations.

In Sarah G. Live‘s April 15 episode, the Popstar Princess uttered a special message to her co-host, who recently turned a year older.

Way back in 2010, Sarah revealed that Luis is one of her closest friends in the showbiz industry. The Popstar Princess describes Luis as a “gentleman.” Hahaha! Ibig kong sabihin ‘pag trabaho, trabaho. Hiwalay yung personal sa trabaho,” she further explained.

Though she finds him sweet, Sarah has never imagined getting into a romantic relationship with her co-host.

Luis has likewise stated that he considers Sarah as one of his trusted friends. “Kami ni Sarah, we have established our friendship, our bond, our kulitan. She is one of the people that I really trust in this industry.”

Through the years that they’ve worked together, Sarah and Luis developed a different kind of friendship which translates into the shows and movies they do.

Love is the sweetest feeling anyone could wish for. However, this may also give us the deepest sorrow we’re hoping to never happen. Just like any woman, Sarah Geronimo also went through that stage of heartbreaks and heartaches.

During those times when she was blinded by love, Sarah unconsciously put her family aside. In Sarah G. Live‘s April 15 episode, the Popstar Princess shared her thoughts on love.

“Gusto ko lang pong i-share sa inyo. Alam naman natin ‘tong lahat na minsan nakakapag-decide tayo when we are too angry or too happy. Nagiging compulsive tayo.”

Choosing the song Emotion by Destiny’s Child to describe the state of her heart, Sarah recalled her high schools day in UST. It reminds me of my high school days sa UST.

Though the lyrics speak of hurt, it still tells the story of love.

Through the heartaches she experienced, Sarah has learned the important lesson of love.

“And sometimes we choose that we have the person in our lives forever.
