At the age of 23, she has already proven a lot, which is clearly evident via her numerous titles such as Popstar Princess, Box-Office Queen, Singing Champion, Most Promising Female Singer, Multi-Platinum Awardee, Princess of Philippine Movies and the latest, Concert Queen of the New Generation.

Having started her career at the age of 13, Sarah has devoted her whole life to performing onstage and bringing happiness to her fans and supporters. The life of a Popstar Princess isn’t an easy ride, Sarah admitted. With her hectic schedule, she has to make an extra effort make time for herself.

Hence, small or big achievements serve as a personal fulfillment for the Popstar Princess. For the year 2011, Sarah is very proud of her academic, career and lovelife accomplishments.

Never satisfied with what she’s capable of, Sarah is continuously honing her craft. Last year, she flew all the way to the US to undergo dance and voice lessons. “Siguro yun pong no’ng mag-aral ako sa U.S. Sandali lang naman po yun… nag-voice lessons ako at nag-dance lessons. Kasi mahirap po talagang maisingit yung schedule ko, pero nagawa ko na finally.”

She also counts in her perseverance to get a college diploma by continuing her studies in UP Open University, where she takes up Associate in Arts. “Siguro yung ano, continuous pa rin po yung studies ko. Napapagpatuloy ko pa rin naman po.”

When it comes to the matters of the heart, Sarah also considers her carefulness to falling in love as an achievement. “Pagdating naman sa matters of the heart, uhm… siguro the past year naiwasan ko muna na ma-break ko yung heart ko. May mga nagustuhan akong tao, pero naingatan ko naman po.” From a small town singing champion, Sarah has indeed evolved into a successful and established woman.

Sarah Geronimo is one of the very few celebrities who made name on their own. Her win in the 2003 singing contest Star For A Night served as her ticket to the entertainment world. Nine years after that victory, the Popstar Princess has already dominated every aspect of the showbiz world. May it be in films, TV, albums, concerts, advertisements; she has proven everyone that she’s the best among the rest.

Though she has reached the top spot, Sarah G. still continues to stun us in amazement. Away from her prim and proper image, the Popstar Princess shows her wacky and adventurous side in the Sige Go! Adventure segment of her musical variety show, Sarah G. Live.

On its May 13 episode, Sarah tried an extreme sport with famous car racer Matteo Guidicelli. She described the experience as “fun”, which showed her free-spirited personality. “Siyempre freedom yun parang lumalabas yung pagiging free-spirited ko. Hindi ko naman malaman kung free-spirited talaga ako. Pero lumalabas dahil dun, dahil sa ganitong mga activities. “

These activities bring out her risky and venturous personality. Hence, Sarah felt more excited than fearful while driving the kart. “Masarap, masarap sa feeling lalo na kapag binibilisan mo. Kasi hindi nga siya… Sinubukan kong maging mabilis pero hindi naman siya nakakatakot na biglang sesemplang ako. Stable naman yung kart.”

Sarah also feels honored to have been accompanied by Matteo. “Siyempre magaling siya na car racer, mabait rin na tao, magaling na artista.” The two Kapamilya artists have worked together in Sarah’s first movie with Gerald Anderson. “Nagkasama kami sa Catch Me I’m In Love.”

On and off camera, Sarah and Matteo are good friends. The Popstar Princess appreciated how Matteo assists her during their race. “May mga times na nabubunggo ako, talagang bumababa siya para hatakin ako. So, thank you, thank you kay Matt.”

Matteo also generously lent his racing suit to Sarah. As gratitude, Sarah uttered, “Proud naman ako na nasuot ko ‘tong suit dahil three years kang nanalo dito.”

The Popstar Princess also revealed an interesting fact about herself during the Sige Go! Adventure. Whenever they spend vacations in the US, Sarah would often drive herself around the city. Her cousin based in the US taught her how to drive. “Yung pinsan ko sa States, si Ate Kaye. Matic lang naman yun.”

After the exciting race, Sarah would love to go karting once again, this time with her brother Gab. “Definitely, sama ko si Gab.”

Sarah Geronimo exhibits the definition of a modern-day Maria Clara. Unlike some liberated women who can easily enter a romantic relationship, the Popstar Princess still has to seek the approval of her family, friends and even fans before she gives her sweet “I love you” to any guy.

So whenever a man is linked to her, everyone can’t help but get curious to how far the relationship has gone. After two blockbuster movies with Gerald Anderson, it seems that the two are continuously enjoying each other’s company.

In the press conference of her upcoming birthday concert, 24/SG, Sarah revealed that she considers their relationship as ‘more than friends but less than lovers’. For the first time, the Popstar Princess became very open about her feelings for Gerald. “May feelings po ako sa kanya. Espesyal po siya para sa akin. Pero nakakahiya lang po on my part. Kasi, babae po ako, hindi ko naman po masasabi sa inyo lahat ng nararamdaman ko,” she told the press.

After her heartbreak with Rayver Cruz, Sarah has now become more careful with her heart. “Nakakataba po ng puso ‘yung gano’n. Pero ayoko rin pong masyadong matuwa. Siyempre po, ‘di ba? Kasi, masakit ‘yon ‘pag masyado kang natuwa, tapos nawala sa ‘yo. Dapat iga-guard natin ang heart natin.”

Hence, she’s not in the rush to fall in love once again. Sarah clearly stated that they are not yet a couple. “Hindi po kami, totoo po ‘yan. At ayoko po talagang madaliin kasi may mga takot din po ako at sabi niya, may mga takot din naman po siya. So, hindi po talaga namin minamadali itong bagay na ito. Kasi ayaw din namin na magkakasakitan kami. Kasi yung friendship din na talagang napakaimportante po no’n sa akin, e. Kumbaga, mawala na lahat, ‘wag lang yung friendship kasi yun talaga yung magla-last. Yun talaga. Gusto ko po mas makilala pa namin ang isa’t isa.”

The Popstar Princess believes that more than the looks, what’s in the inside matters most. “Mahalin ko hindi yung good looks niya kundi yung ganda ng ugali niya… ng puso niya. Kasi, guwapo niya, di ba? So, ayokong tumingin sa pisikal ho. So, it takes time para malaman namin kung ano talaga yung feelings namin sa isa’t isa.”

Nevertheless, she sincerely appreciates all the efforts that Gerald has given her; especially that he’s the first guy to visit her at home. “Ito pong mga nangyayari sa akin ngayon, ‘yung pagdating ni Ge rald sa buhay ko, kumbaga, siya pa lang ‘yung lalaking gumagawa ng mga ibang bagay na ‘yon para sa akin. Like ‘yung pumunta sa bahay, hinarap talaga ang mga magulang ko. At sobra ko pong naa-appreciate ‘yon. Sana, sana po. Ako’y sobrang masaya po sa efforts niya po, na tala­gang pumupunta siya sa bahay.”

Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo is now ready to go sensual and glamorous in her upcoming birthday concert. Dubbed as 24/SG, the dream birthday concert is happening at the Big Dome on July 7, few days before Sarah turns 24 years old.

Now a matured young lady, the Popstar Princess has decided to spice up her concert by bringing out her glam side as the Concert Queen of the New Generation.

Though no final guests were announced, Sarah however revealed that the concert will be filled with pop songs, some of which are from her upcoming album. “Yung line-up ng songs, siyempre yung pop po. May mga sing and dance na rin po ako. Yun po, I’ll be doing an album po so yung baka maikanta ko po sa concert yung mga songs po from the album.”

This time, Sarah is definitely hands-on in creating the 24/SG concert. The Popstar Princess puts a personal touch in every detail of the show. “Sumasama po ako sa mga meetings. Pag may mga gusto po ako, may mga i-inject sa mga ideas nila, ideas ko or sa songs.”
